From the 2007 Athens Banner-Herald special section R.E.M.

The section was created for the induction of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the Athens-based band.

Caricatures of the band members won many awards including a Gold ADDY, Illustration awards from the Georgia Press Association and the Associated Press, among others.
